If I told you there was a place to unplug from technology, recharge your energy, and reconnect with the beauty and sounds of nature, would you go?
Digital detox retreats are becoming increasingly popular among today’s technology-dependent workers. These retreats offer a chance to escape and unwind, helping individuals discover the true meaning of tranquility. Attendees are encouraged to disconnect from their laptops, cell phones, and smartwatches to reconnect and ground themselves in peaceful, healthy living environments surrounded by palm trees, waterfalls, or mountainous views.
No matter your preference, the ultimate goal of these retreats is to help you achieve a healthier balance of inner peace and your surroundings.

Former U.S. Army Officer, Certified Meditation Coach, Mindfulness Coach, and Chief Relaxation Officer Holly Landau combined her leadership qualities from the military and wellness practices to launch The Relaxation Retreat, a woman-owned veteran-owned small business in Palm Beach County, Florida. The Relaxation Retreat became a place where others are encouraged to maximize their full potential by focusing on mental clarity, stress reduction, personal growth, and inner peace through evidence-based holistic practices.  Landau understands that we can not escape stress, so she advises people to relax, learn, and grow at her establishment.

“I started The Relaxation Retreat because I’m passionate about wellness and helping others find balance. As a workshop facilitator and coach,  I’ve supported hundreds of people throughout the years, and I love helping people reach their potential,” said Landau.
Before Landau opened the Relaxation Retreat in 2018, she worked as a trainer for a Fortune 500 company after serving a decade in the military. However, she found the job to be stressful and experienced burnout. This led her to want to apply all the lessons she learned from her military and corporate experiences to create a business focused on helping people achieve more balance in their lives.
The Relaxation Retreat offers wellness events for women and couples in beautiful South Florida and on cruise ships where you learn great ways to chill out at home and work. Workshops include Restorative yoga, guided meditation, aromatherapy, peaceful painting, and more. Visit www.Therelaxationretreat.com.
One detox retreat offering more glamping “on the prairie” experience is  Westgate River Ranch Resort and Rodeo, located an hour away from Orlando, which offers a digital detox program ranging from 5 to 30 days. Guests can choose to camp in a traditional tent or get set up in a tee-pee or Chattanooga style camp complete with queen size beds. This program allows guests to get outdoors and participate in many activities like horseback riding, mini golf, trap and skeet

skeet shooting, fishing, and airboat rides. Guests also participate in journaling, nature walks, meditation, yoga, arts and crafts, and cooking. The emphasis is on mindfulness, relaxation, and social interaction without the interruption of screens.
“I lived in Florida my whole life, and it was truly a unique experience; I’ve never seen Florida like this. I love the swamp buggies. I’ve never done like that before,” said YouTube creator, KP. “The experiences are just incredible.”
